South Roanoke United Methodist Church Located at the edge of one of the city’s major medical centers and the well-established residential area known as South Roanoke. The church has a membership of 762 members and a staff including the senior pastor, youth minister, minister of music, director of evangelism, administrative assistant, and director of the week-day preschool. Sunday Morning Services
Special seasonal observances include an ecumenical Thanksgiving Service, a Christmas Eve observance, Lenten programs, and Maundy Thursday Holy Communion. Our sanctuary is the perfect setting for beautiful Wedding and Baptism worship services.

Church School at 9:15 a.m. for children, youth, and adults. Nursery provided. Bible Study
Children can enjoy Jelly Bellies (ages 3 - pre-K) on Mondays at 1:30 p.m., Junior Mints (K - grade 2) on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. and Peanut M & M’s (grades 3 - 5) on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. as they participate in games, crafts and outreach ministries to our elderly, plus lots of seasonal events including Easter Egg Dye and Hunt and Vacation Bible School.United Methodist Men meet monthly on the third Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for a prayer breakfast. This is a great opportunity to hear guest speakers while meeting and talking with fellow Christian brothers. Our Adult Fellowship Group embarks on day-long excursions as well as overnight trips. They get together once a month for a catered lunch in our Fellowship Hall. Church-Wide Activities include Morning Fellowship opportunities throughout the year on Sunday mornings, the annual summer church picnic, a Talent Show, caroling each Christmas and monthly dinner groups to name a few. Homebound members are regularly visited by church people and lots of attentive church members.
