The Parable of the Good Samaritan appeals to us as followers of Christ because it shows us how to put his teachings into action. Jesus taught us (Matthew 25:35-45) that whenever we minister to and show mercy to others by clothing, feeding, or caring for them, it is the same as if we are doing this to Jesus. We have all found ourselves in need and were cared for. Families care for one another all the time. Sometimes, care is given to us by a stranger like the Good Samaritan.
