Anthem
And Can It Be?                                                   Harlan

And can it be that I should gain an interest in the Savior’s blood? Died He for me who caused
His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my
    God, should die for me?
Long my imprisoned spirit lay fast bound in sin and nature’s night. Thine eye diffused a
quickening ray; I woke, the dungeon flamed with light! My chains fell off, my heart was free, I
rose went forth, and followed Thee. Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, should
die for me!  No condemnation now I dread: Jesus, and all in Him, is mine! Alive in Him, my
living Head, and  clothed in righteousness divine, behold I approach th’eternal throne, and
     claim the crown, through
Christ my own. Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, should die for me!

TODAY we will be receiving gifts for One Great Hour of Sharing. Your gifts do remarkable things: feed people with food and hope, wrap babies in warmth and love, empower communities with skills and support. Gifts renew the giver, too, in spirit and in strength. With funding from One Great Hour of Sharing and people like us, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) supports these and many other life changing ministries: Every gift helps, but when you give all you can, your generosity is more meaningful. It is multiplied. It is a miracle. And it becomes enough. Please give generously to One Great Hour of Sharing. Make your check payable to SRUMC and earmark it UMCOR.

THE SENIOR MINISTER and family are attending the 175th anniversary this morning of his first appointment, Concord United Methodist Church in Stony Creek (Sussex County).
