Call to Worship
Today we celebrate Epiphany as a day that reveals the light
     of Christ in our lives.
May we bathe in the glory of God’s light today and
     forever.
Let us worship this day as you, O Lord, provide light
     for our journey of faith.
May we see the light of Jesus’ love and mercy in our hour
     of worship.
Opening Prayer
O God, we come to you this day as people who crave a better life. For many of us the cost is too high. We think we want change, but often it feels safer to do what we have been doing. Forgive us our timidity. Help us break out of our stale, life-denying behaviors. For others today, life seems satisfying
to a point, but we sense that we miss life’s vitality. Our love is not as pure as it might be. We base too many of our human ties on what others can do for us, rather than on what we can do for others. Let us feel the exhilaration of discovering life’s authentic depth. Give us the courage to begin anew - today. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
